Title:

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to lead, direct, and plan maintenance strategies and programs to maintain the facility for maximum efficiency with minimal unscheduled downtime. This role supports the Mission, Motto, Food Safety, and Quality Statement of Mennel Milling Company.

Shift:

12-hour rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, with potential overtime.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and sanitation standards, maintaining audit-ready conditions.
2. Lead maintenance staff in safety practices according to OSHA and NFPA regulations.
3. Collaborate with Maintenance Manager on personnel performance and department strategy.
4. Maintain a safe work environment and manage supplies and equipment inventory.
5. Drive plant equipment maintenance using software, focusing on predictive maintenance and uptime.
6. Implement automation and new technologies to improve systems.
7. Coordinate with operations for preventive and corrective maintenance.
8. Manage budgets, costs, and inventory systems.
9. Input and analyze maintenance data; track and develop preventative maintenance schedules.
10. Supervise maintenance planning, projects, and emergency repairs.
11. Train and evaluate maintenance personnel for continuous improvement.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Support and develop maintenance staff, especially on the 7AM-7PM shift.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or 10 years of technical plant experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot with tools like multimeters and current meters.
• Basic electrical skills and understanding of motor controls preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.

Skills:

• Ability to read and write basic instructions and documentation.
• Effective communication skills in small group settings.
• Mathematical proficiency in basic operations.
• Good judgment and adaptability to changing work conditions.

Physical and Work Environment:

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, heat, cold, heights, and airborne particles, and wear hearing protection as needed.
