Experience / Certifications: 3 years of experience in a supervisory role. HVAC certification strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $29.00-$39.00/hr (based on experience and certifications)

Status: Full Time

About Us: High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. We offer programs throughout Southeastern Massachusetts providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services, as well as support for survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.

Our programs include Section 35 services for individuals civilly committed to Substance Use Treatment, featuring Acute Treatment Services (detoxification) and Clinical Stabilization Services in staff-secured, non-locked units.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Requirements:

• 5 – 8 years facility maintenance experience
• 3 – 5 years supervision or management experience
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
• Knowledge and skills to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, HVAC, and other plant systems
• Carpentry and building construction skills

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations, 42 CFR part 2, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards, prepare for inspections and site visits, and address deficiencies
• Develop and update ADA/504 Self-Evaluation Plan
• Conduct emergency response trainings and drills
• Schedule and oversee inspections of fire control systems, safety checks, and maintenance tasks
• Maintain facility grounds, service emergency generators, and perform minor repairs
• Manage maintenance inventories, service contracts, and safety documentation
• Prioritize repairs and projects, control departmental budgets, and oversee staff hiring and evaluations
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and other assigned duties, including being on call 24/7
