GENERAL PURPOSE:

Supervise all functions pertaining to facilities maintenance, including preventive maintenance programs, repairs to the building, property, and all material handling equipment. Oversee maintenance G&A expenses for all budgeted items in the Maintenance and Repair accounts, as well as expenses related to landscaping, mat rental, pest control, snow removal, janitorial, waste management, fire system maintenance, and certification. Review and recommend changes to existing material handling equipment and all proposed construction projects. Ensure timeline compliance and quality of work for external construction projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee the maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems. Enforce proper turnaround times for preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure timely response to critical equipment downtime issues in the distribution center.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring skill sets meet minimum requirements.
  • Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to its full capability.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for construction projects, ensuring quality work and safety standards compliance.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
  • Ensure contractual compliance for various service accounts.
  • Partner with the safety committee to address safety issues on the property.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • 8-10 years of maintenance experience in large distribution centers or manufacturing environments.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in similar settings.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to review schematic diagrams and knowledge of CMMS.
  • Knowledge of 5-S practices preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

This role requires working in a warehouse environment, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Full-time in-office presence is required for team interaction, meetings, and collaboration.
