Fogelman is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor at The Ren Apartments in Brookhaven!

The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of Maintenance Supervisory experience, is a working supervisor who can also lead and manage a team, is well-rounded with maintenance skills, possesses HVAC and CPO certifications, and is a team leader. Yardi & HappyCo experience is a plus!

Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures all maintenance service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner. This role inspects grounds, buildings, and other community features as required to minimize liability concerns and manages the turn-key operations. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the maintenance team, working with vendors in scheduling work, and managing the supply order process.

Responsibilities

• Complete and assign work to the service team, including service requests and make-readies.
• Order necessary equipment and supplies in accordance with budget.
• Inspect make-readies prior to move-in.
• Maintain property logs such as refrigerant, pool chemical, and mold logs.
• Analyze and resolve escalated maintenance issues.
• Coordinate and schedule outside vendors as needed.
• Participate in "on call" rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies including safety and Fair Housing.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Interview candidates.
• Plan, assign, and direct work.
• Appraise performance, coach, teach, and train employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Three years of relevant supervisory experience in property management preferred.
• Five years of maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC Certification required (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) may be required.
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
• Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
• Depending on the property, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required.
