Job summary

Hyatt, The Wildbirch Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the property’s maintenance team, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and preventative programs are followed to keep facilities in top condition.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory maintenance experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and a commitment to service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience with supervisory duties.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support maintenance team members.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance work orders and projects.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies.
  • Conduct regular inspections.
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control.
  • Maintain records of work orders and maintenance activities.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at the Wildbirch Hotel. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining the overall condition and functionality of the property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and support maintenance team members.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance work orders and projects.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if required.
