Job summary

Grand Hyatt in Nashville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance across hotel facilities and equipment. You will use hand and power tools to ensure the property remains well‑maintained and functional, supporting guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, HVAC tasks, and coordinating with engineering and front desk. A HS diploma and 1 year of maintenance experience are required; HVAC/electrical/plumbing licenses are helpful.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of repair/maintenance experience is required.
• Technical licenses such as HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool and surrounding area using hand tools for minor and routine maintenance tasks.
• Notify management about major repairs or additions to lighting, HVAC and related equipment.
• Respond to guest service requests and keep records of work performed in rooms.
• Program hotel phone equipment as needed.
• Monitor daily equipment and utility meter readings.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Chief Engineer as needed.
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets files and stock of parts and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and maintenance on the hotel’s physical infrastructure, utilizing hand tools and power tools to ensure the property is well-maintained and functional.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned by the leader

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of previous repair/maintenance experience required

Licenses/Certifications

• Technical licenses such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc. are helpful

Pay Rate: $20/hour
