Job summary

Gunnison Copper is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead mechanical and electrical maintenance at Johnson Camp Mine in southeastern Arizona. The role oversees a field-based team responsible for safe work, reliability, and cost control across processing equipment, fixed-plant assets, utilities, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in mining or heavy industry.
• 5+ years of supervisory or maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills.
• Valid driverb4s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance supervisors and planners with clear priorities and accountability.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and planned maintenance across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Coordinate weekly maintenance schedules, outages, and major repairs with Operations.
• Ensure work packages include labor, materials, tools, safety controls, and information for successful execution.
• Improve equipment availability, reduce recurring failures, and lead root-cause investigations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractor performance, and repair costs with Supply Chain.
• Strengthen CMMS discipline and use metrics to improve maintenance performance.
• Maintain strong field presence and reinforce safety and energy isolation practices.
• Support new equipment installations and commissioning into maintenance programs.
