Job summary

Gunnison Copper seeks a practical, field-oriented Electrical Planner to support the Johnson Camp Mine in southeastern Arizona, translating field conditions into complete, executable maintenance plans with the right people, materials, tools, and safety controls for work initiation.

This full-time, site-based role requires hands-on electrical experience, CMMS proficiency, and collaboration with maintenance, operations, vendors, and contractors to optimize reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on industrial electrical experience and ability to independently develop and coordinate maintenance plans.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, drawings, troubleshooting, and maintenance materials.
• Experience using a CMMS to manage work orders, job plans, equipment records, and backlog.

Responsibilities

• Inspect proposed field work and develop electrical maintenance packages (scope, labor, parts, tools, permits, safety).
• Maintain accurate work orders, equipment histories, and a prioritized CMMS backlog.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for motors, MCCs, drives, distribution, instrumentation, and controls.
• Coordinate parts availability, vendor support, contractor requirements, and shutdown readiness.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Superintendent, Electrical Supervisor, Maintenance Planner, and Operations to build realistic schedules.
• Use history and feedback to improve plans and reduce repeat failures.
• Incorporate energy-isolation and site safety controls into work packages.
