Vesta Management in Elyria, OH seeks an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance at Westway Gardens Townhomes. This hands-on role manages day-to-day property operations, ensures safety, quality, and on-budget performance, and acts as the on-site technical lead for staff and contractors.

You will supervise make-readies, service requests, and preventive maintenance, coordinate with the Property Manager, drive resident satisfaction, and uphold the property's curb appeal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Apartment community experience required.
• Drywall, lock change, and light electrical, carpentry, plumbing experience required.
• HVAC Type I and II required.
• Knowledge of 3rd party government agency inspection protocol (e.g., REAC, State Finance Agency).
• Experience leading a team required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day physical operations within the budgeted goals.
• Manage inventory of ready apartments to support marketing and leasing efforts; schedule staff and contractors.
• Lead maintenance staff and workflows; assign and monitor tasks and work orders.
• Inspect completed make-ready apartments for move-in readiness.
• Provide 24/7 emergency on-call maintenance as needed.
• Maintain logs and records (Property Inspection Control Log, Winter Weather Log, Interior/Exterior Light Log).
• Coordinate with Property Manager and vendors; review capital improvements and contractor bids.
