Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent (1st shift) in Cudahy, Wisconsin. You will lead a team of maintenance supervisors, drive preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, and ensure production lines run at full capacity while minimizing downtime.

You will collaborate with the Plant Engineer to implement SAP PM, uphold safety policies, monitor KPIs, and mentor staff through planning and delegation to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• Food manufacturing experience.
• Maintenance Supervisory experience.
• Experience mentoring staff or leading projects.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation, etc.).
• Ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of world-class maintenance systems, work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM.
• Strong communication, planning and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive peak performance by managing maintenance systems and costs.
• Lead RCA, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and TPM initiatives.
• Schedule work, reduce downtime, and boost plant efficiency.
• Inspire and coach maintenance staff; delegate and organize work.
• Ensure safety compliance with policies and regulations.
• Be the go-to problem solver for day-to-day challenges.
• Partner with Plant Engineer to design and manage a SAP PM-based program.
• Analyze data and continuously improve equipment reliability.
• Track KPIs like OEE, maintenance performance, and supplier metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement in the maintenance function.
