Job summary

Best Western Plus Settlers Point is hiring a full-time maintenance technician. The role involves performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and installation/maintenance of hotel equipment and fixtures.

You will inspect ventilation and safety systems and assist with renovations while coordinating with other professionals. Ideal candidates have knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, plus experience with hand tools, reading technical manuals, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, crouch and lift during shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs (locks, gaps in walls) and preventative maintenance.
• Install and maintain equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Inspect and troubleshoot ventilation and safety systems.
• Assist with renovations and coordinating with other trades.
• Report findings to General Manager or facilities supervisor.

• Preventative Maintenance: snaking drains, touch up paint, staining furniture, etc.
• Installing and maintaining equipment & fixtures.
