Job summary

Best Western Plus Settlers Point is seeking a full-time maintenance technician for a Wed-Sun, 8 am to 4 pm schedule. Starting pay is $17.00/hr, depending on experience. You will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and support renovations across hotel facilities.

Ideal candidates have basic HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge, can read manuals, and communicate well with team members. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work on-site in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience with hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps in walls etc.
• Preventative Maintenance: snaking drains, touch up paint, staining furniture, etc.
• Installing and maintaining equipment & fixtures.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• Responsible for trash, groundskeeping, stocking supplies, pool maintenance, etc
• Collaborate with other professionals during renovations
• Report to General Manager or facilities maintenance manager
