Job summary

Hulsing Enterprises is seeking a maintenance technician for Holiday Inn Bradenton West, Bradenton, FL. The role provides day-to-day hotel maintenance, completing work orders and ensuring high service quality with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

• Interpret readings from meters and gauges and other instruments.
• Prioritize and organize work assignments; work under pressure with good judgment.
• Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and hotel information.
• Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Complete reports required by brand and Hospitality Company for QA tracking.
• Perform maintenance in guest rooms (plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairs) and on equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Regular preventive maintenance (lubrication, filters, fire extinguishers).
• Operate as independent mechanic, analyze problems, and implement solutions.
• Be available for emergencies and act to protect guests and property.

Job Location: Holiday Inn Bradenton West - Bradenton, FL 34210Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Category: FacilitiesPosition Summary: Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments, and fellow team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests concerns.
• Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
• Check for new maintenance requests from the PMS and update remarks once the task is completed.
• Interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
• Prioritize and organize work assignments. Work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.
• Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
• Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Must complete all reports required by brand and Hospitality Company for Quality Assurance tracking.
• Perform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps and HVAC.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
• Regularly perform preventive maintenance duties in lubrication of equipment, changing of filters, checking of fire extinguishers and other duties to prevent major costly breakdowns as assigned.
• To operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
• To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
• Monitor fire Alarm / Life Safety Systems, as necessary.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.
• When no work is assigned, keeps productive throughout the shift by completing work orders, completing weekly walk-through items, and any other task that needs to be completed in the hotel.
• Keep all tools and supplies secure throughout shift to prevent loss from theft.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
