Job summary

Remington Hospitality is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support hotel operations across the property. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems, plus building infrastructure and kitchen equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in hotel maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read blueprints and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, and building construction.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the hotel property.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
  • Operate, inspect, and repair building systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment and related systems.
  • Perform general repairs, construction, and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Understand and efficiently maintain advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs completed, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow all Marriott brand standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous hotel engineering or commercial maintenance experience required
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, and general building construction required
  • Vocational training, associate degree, certification, and/or apprenticeship in one or more technical areas preferred
  • State certification or licensing where required
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independent ... as part of a team
