Job summary

Delcastle Golf Course, part of Troon, in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a part-time Maintenance Staff for a seasonal position lasting up to six months. The role covers daily housekeeping, laundry, towel services, and general maintenance across offices, public spaces, grounds, and restrooms.

The duties include upkeep of electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of buildings and grounds, exterior and interior cleaning, trash removal, and assisting in furnishing arrangements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties.
• Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping and maintenance for all areas within the operation, including electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of buildings and grounds.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of exterior of the facility, including trash, sweeping, and outdoor furniture.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas, including trash, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
• Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to the supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required.

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour

General Purpose:

Provides daily housekeeping, laundry, towel services, and general maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds, and other areas as required. This is a seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs general housekeeping and maintenance for all areas within the operation, including, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the exterior of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture
• Assures the maintenance of the tennis courts and swimming pool
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture
• Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to the supervisor
• Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience:

• Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands:

• Frequently uses hands and reaches with hands and arms
• Regularly climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, stands, walks, and sits
• Frequently lifts or carries up to 50 pounds

Environment/Noise:

• Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate

Certificates/Licenses:

• No certifications or licenses are required
