The City of Midland is seeking a dedicated individual for the Parks Division, responsible for routine maintenance and support during special events. The role requires effective communication and teamwork, along with the ability to operate various maintenance tools and equipment. A valid Texas Driver's License is essential, and candidates should be prepared to work in varying seasonal conditions.
This position reports to the Superintendent of Parks and involves performing routine maintenance work for the parks division, primarily for special events.
Ability to sit, stand, and transport self between buildings. Ability to drive to various work sites. Work in seasonal temperatures, bending, lifting, and moving equipment for repairs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals during maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with team members and the public.
Must be able to read and understand work orders and manuals. Skilled in operating hand tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, gas-powered trimmers, saws, and other gardening and maintenance tools.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid Texas Driver's License required; CDL preferred.
