Job summary

WESTconsin Credit Union is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance professional to join our team. You will perform diversified maintenance across all WESTconsin facilities, conduct inspections, and help ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 3+ years of related experience, knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC basics, and a valid driver’s license. On-call availability and occasional travel are expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/equivalent with 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems with prior property maintenance experience preferred
  • Vocational training or trade school certification in plumbing, electrical, or maintenance preferred
  • Must be familiar with basic hand and power tools; the use of your own tools is permitted.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to maintenance tasks
  • Proof of valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle required
  • Availability for on-call or emergency maintenance is required

Responsibilities

  • Performs highly diversified and skilled duties related to all aspects of maintenance in all WESTconsin facilities
  • Conducts routine office inspections to identify potential issues and to perform preventative maintenance tasks on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Evaluates and prioritize maintenance related concerns based on urgency and impact on operations and safety
  • Monitors and maintains building systems as assigned
  • Plumbing maintenance includes (location of leaks, installing sinks, p-traps, set toilets, clearing clogs, valves, etc.)
  • Electrical includes (diagnosing circuit issues, breaker replacement, outlet and switch replacements, light fixture replacements, Lighting, etc.)
  • Performs minor Carpentry and general maintenance work which includes (maintenance and repairs on doors, windows, and other building components.)
  • Patches and repairs sheetrock, mud, texture, and full paint
  • Responds to maintenance requests that are assigned by the VP-Facilities, Facilities Lead or requested by Office Leaders
  • Assists in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of all facilities
  • Maintains maintenance log using current systems
  • Exhibits strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Provides professional service to all internal and external members, vendors, and contractors
  • Works as part of the Facilities team but frequently works independently.
  • Serves as the back-up to other members of the Facilities team
  • Occasional on-call work and frequent travel required
