Job summary

Silgan Closures, America’s largest metal food packaging producer, is hiring a Maintenance Specialist in Evansville, IN. You will install, maintain, repair, and remove production equipment, conveyors, ovens, and air systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate power tools and basic machinery (e.g., wood saw, drill press, grinding wheel).
• Move, install and lubricate machinery and equipment; repair belts and air/gas lines.
• Service, maintain and repair hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate simple equipment and attachments using basic shop tools and welding as needed.
• Install or replace piping installations for oil, gas, water, steam and heating lines; perform carpentry, plumbing and painting as required.
• Diagnose production issues and report findings to Supervisor; assist electricians with electrical components.
