Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Shift Maintenance Leader at the Fort Smith, Arkansas site. This role is responsible for leading the scheduling and execution of key planned maintenance activities.

You will provide on-shift technical leadership to support cost optimization, quality capability, MRO, waste reduction, productivity improvements, and strategic capital planning and execution. The Fort Smith Plant is part of the Dixie brand plates and bowls paper products manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or military environments.
• Experience supervising others in manufacturing, industrial, or military environments.
• Knowledge of reliability concepts and precision maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Experience repairing and troubleshooting pumps, gearboxes, mechanical drive systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting including arc flash, motor drives, PLC functions, servo drives and motors.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and technical support to maintenance team members to improve capabilities.
• Promote and advance PBM culture by partnering with operations and aligning behaviors with values.
• Lead maintenance teams to execute planned daily work and ensure breakdown support.
• Use dashboards and reports to identify performance gaps and improve efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are logged in CMMS (SAP) and verify safety-related work orders.
• Support RCFA efforts to prevent downtime and improve reliability.
• Drive a zero-incident safety culture and maintain compliance with safety standards.
