Job summary

Stoughton Health is seeking a Maintenance and Security Worker in the Plant Operations Department for a full-time schedule. The role covers a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the hospital's physical structure and equipment functioning safely and efficiently.

Applicants should have experience in boiler operation, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry, plus a high school diploma and a valid Wisconsin driver's license. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance including boiler operation, electrical and basic plumbing, painting and carpentry.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Stoughton Health has an excellent employment opportunity for a Maintenance and Security Worker in our Plant Operations Department on a Full-Time basis.

Responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the Hospital's physical structure and equipment.

Experience in various aspects of plant maintenance work including boiler operation and maintenance, electrical and basic plumbing, painting, and carpentry work. Preferred knowledge of and ability to maintain devices and equipment involved in a hospital physical plant. Ability to make electrical and plumbing repairs, paint and perform carpentry. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Will be provided time to obtain Class C underground storage operators permit within six months of hire. Must have basic computer competency skills and beginning Microsoft office suite skills.

• Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Professional Experience: Experience in various aspects of plant maintenance work including boiler operation and maintenance, electrical and basic plumbing, painting, and carpentry work. Requires knowledge of and ability to maintain devices and equipment involved in a hospital physical plant. Requires ability to make electrical and plumbing repairs, paint and perform carpentry.
• Valid Wisconsin Drivers License
• Special Requirements:

  Requires ability to obtain Class C underground storage operators permit within six months of hire.

• Proof of auto insurance.

• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training-every two years on a rolling calendar.
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills- Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift

• Full-time, 80 hours
• Scheduled work: 3:00pm - 11:00 pm
• For week # 1 Work Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday OFF, Work Friday, Saturday
• For week #2 Work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, w/ Friday, Saturday, Sunday OFF
• For week #3 Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, w/ Saturday, Sunday OFF
