Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Routine Maintenance Scheduler in Houston, TX to ensure that resources for maintenance jobs are scheduled in line with availability and operational requirements. The role focuses on planning and coordinating all planned maintenance work.

Candidate will review backlogs, prepare weekly schedules, and lead priority-based resource alignment with maintenance and production teams. Strong knowledge of SAP-PM and contractor management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in maintenance or operations.
• Knowledge of contractor management practices.
• Ability to climb stairs and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
• Proficient with SAP-PM Maintenance Transactions and Documentum.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Review SAP backlogs and identify ready‑to‑schedule work.
• Prepare weekly optimized schedules with Operations by day based on due dates and resources.
• Coordinate schedules for special equipment and tools to improve efficiency.
• Determine work to be rescheduled with operations to free capacity.
• Lead schedule update meetings to align maintenance and production resources.
• Distribute schedules to Operations and Maintenance Execution Groups for a single plan.

Overview

The Routine Maintenance Scheduler ensures that resources required for a specific job are scheduled according to the resource availability and operation’s requirements. Responsibilities include scheduling all planned maintenance work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP‑PM Maintenance Transactions, Documentum, Microsoft Office Products and Merid
• Supervisory Experience
• Knowledge and experience with contractor management
• Ability to climb stairs and possess sufficient physical strength to perform requirements in a safe manner without endangering self or others
• Ability to work at a computer for prolonged durations daily
• Technical Competencies: Strong Plant Maintenance Knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

• Review SAP backlogs for ready‑to‑schedule work or orders
• Prepare weekly optimized schedules with Operations by day based on job due date, workload, and available resources, and coordinate schedules for special equipment and tools to improve working efficiency
• Determine work to be rescheduled with operations to make room for break‑in work
• Lead schedule update meetings to ensure jobs are arranged according to priority and resources are aligned between maintenance and production
• Monitor backlogs and notify maintenance supervision of capacity needs to maintain optimum backlog levels, ensuring flexibility for supervisors to arrange resources and fully utilize them
• Compile and distribute required schedules to Operations and Maintenance Execution Groups to ensure all personnel can follow a single schedule
