Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks a Maintenance Repairer 2 for District 02/Unit 775 to perform building and grounds maintenance on CCC facilities, pump stations, and related state properties. The role requires plumbing and carpentry skills and operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts and lawn machinery.

Salary ranges are provided for Trades Apprentice, Maintenance Repairer 1, and Maintenance Repairer 2 with hourly rates; work hours are variable and

Qualifications

• No experience or training is required.
• Valid Louisiana Class “D” Chauffeur’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: repair of DOTD buildings, plumbing, HVAC, windows, ceilings, floors, water heaters, fountains, small equipment; carpentry and door/wall repairs.
• Ground Upkeep: mowing, landscaping, trimming, weed control, grading, sprinkler repairs.
• Bridge Roadway Maintenance: pothole repair, debris removal, attenuator and bollard repairs, sign/bench/trash maintenance, cleaning CCC areas.
