Louisiana Tech University is seeking a Maintenance Repairer 2 for Residential Life in Ruston, LA. The role focuses on maintaining student housing, performing repairs, and supporting a safe, comfortable campus living environment.

The position requires 2 years of relevant experience or a two-year vocational program in building construction or related field. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with rotating on-call duties.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance, repairs, and additions to Residential Life buildings.
  • Maintains and repairs air conditioning systems and motorized cleaning equipment.
  • Replaces and installs ceiling tiles, window screens, hinges, knobs, showerheads, closet hasps, doors, and window blinds; caulks doors and windows; painting repairs.
  • Climbs ladders to replace light bulbs and clean fixtures; investigates problems; follows supervisor instructions.
