Job summary

Louisiana Tech University is seeking a Maintenance Repairer 2 to support Residential Life in Ruston, LA. You will perform general maintenance, service HVAC and cleaning equipment, and handle repairs across dormitories and apartments to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for students.

The role requires hands-on trade skills, a scheduled Monday–Friday 8am–5pm workday with rotating on-call, and a starting hourly rate of $19.67. Probationary appointment and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience or training in building trades or maintenance.
• Vocational program in building construction or related field.
• Some college hours in construction topics may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in Residential Life buildings.
• Maintain and repair air conditioning systems and cleaning equipment.
• Replace ceiling tiles, screens, hinges, doors, blinds, and caulk windows/doors.
• Climb ladders to change light bulbs and assist in problem solving.
