Responsibilities

We are seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician to join our team and support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of our advanced testing equipment in ourHydraulics department. This role offers hands-on experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced materials testing equipment and facility systems
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, manifolds, and servo-hydraulic systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair single-phase and three-phase motors and controls
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Perform equipment calibrations and verify system performance to ensure accurate testing results
  • Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and calibration documentation
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, reliability initiatives, and long-term maintenance solutions
  • Support a safety-first culture by following all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship is strictly required for national defense and aerospace compliance
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between Latrobe and Youngstown facilities as needed
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, and hydraulics required
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulics
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to utilize maintenance software and diagnostic tools
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, squat, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and laboratory environments
