Job summary

Bardessono is seeking a skilled hotel maintenance technician to operate and service central HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen and related systems at our Evansville property. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, reliable operation of all building systems.

The role requires experience in hotel maintenance, practical trades training or apprenticeship, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Vocational training or associate's degree with relevant certification or apprenticeship.
• Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written; high work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate central HVAC and mechanical equipment safely using established procedures.
• Repair and maintain food production, kitchen, laundry, ice machines, refrigeration, boilers, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair quickly and economically.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.

What you will be doing

• Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment using sound engineering practices and specified corporate operating procedures.
• Accurately and efficiently repair and maintain food production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines and refrigeration systems, boilers and plumbing systems and all electrical and natural gas distribution systems.
• Trouble-shoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair them as quickly and economically as possible.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an on-going basis.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required
