Job summary

Hampton Inn Evansville is seeking a part-time Hotel Maintenance Engineer to efficiently operate and maintain our central HVAC and mechanical systems. You will repair kitchen, laundry, ice machines, refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, and electrical or gas distribution components in a hospitality setting.

Candidates should have prior hotel engineering experience, vocational training or certification, ability to read blueprints, strong communication, and a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems.
• Vocational training or certification and/or apprenticeship with licensure where required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate central HVAC and mechanical systems safely.
• Repair and maintain kitchen, laundry, ice machines, refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, and electrical/gas distribution components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic issues and repair them quickly and cost-effectively.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
