Job summary

Quality Packaging Inc. in St.Francis, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to keep production lines up and running. You will perform urgent repairs and preventive maintenance, verify safety features, and handle facility upkeep to support daily output and efficiency.

This hands-on role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and strong teamwork. You must lift up to 50 lbs, follow written and oral instructions, and maintain a clean parts room for quick part access.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing service environment.
• Self-starter mentality — you don't wait to be told, you spot a problem and fix it.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Strong communication skills and a true team-player attitude.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the majority of your shift.
• Good close and color vision with the ability to adjust focus (working with machinery and detailed parts).

Responsibilities

• Keep production running: perform urgent on-the-spot repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on time — every time.
• Own equipment safety: verify safety switches are functioning and ensure pinch points and hazards are clearly marked.
• Handle facility upkeep: tackle building repairs (doorknobs, door closures, and more) quickly and efficiently.
• Retool and set up equipment as needed to support production demands.
• Maintain a clean, organized parts room so the right part is always easy to find.
• Process internal repair orders for full accountability and transparent tracking.
• Drive downtime reduction: your goal is to minimize disruptions and maximize output.
