Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations in Stockton, CA. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance staff, and driving downtime reduction in a regulated industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will manage PM programs, work orders, and capital projects while maintaining strict safety and PSM standards.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, chemical, or industrial processing environments.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) programs and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting background in industrial equipment and plant systems.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, inventory/spare parts management, and maintenance planning.
• Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both plant leadership and maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, work orders, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and weekly payroll approvals.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to equipment failures with urgency.
• Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with operations and quality teams to improve overall plant performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support and maintain PSM-related programs and procedures.
• Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and contractor coordination.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel while building accountability within the department.
