Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an experienced Facility & Equipment Maintenance Manager for our on-site Maxton, NC facility. Lead maintenance and facility operations, emphasizing reliability, safety, and continuous improvement to support manufacturing performance.

You will guide the maintenance team, manage preventive and corrective programs, and collaborate with operations and engineering to drive results. Strong RCA, PLC, and electrical skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

Experience supervising maintenance teams in manufacturing or facilities.
Extensive background in industrial maintenance, equipment support, or facility operations.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and lead root-cause analysis.
Ability to read electrical schematics, control diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to boost reliability.
Strong knowledge of safety practices, LOTO programs, and NFPA/NEC standards.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and reliability strategy to reduce downtime and improve performance.
Direct capital projects, equipment upgrades, and technology implementations.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime).
Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and leadership to align priorities.
Mentor and develop maintenance staff and foster a safety-first culture.
Communicate maintenance status, risks, and project outcomes to stakeholders.
