Job summary

Aerotek in St. Louis, MO is seeking a transformational Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our fertilizer manufacturing facility.

The role focuses on developing and implementing a world-class maintenance strategy to support reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. You will drive preventive maintenance programs, lead a data-driven shift from reactive work, manage CMMS platforms, and build a high-performing team with clear KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and PM compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing maintenance departments and personnel.
• Implementation of preventative maintenance and reliability programs.
• Utilization and improvement of CMMS platforms.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in establishing maintenance KPIs and performance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Lead the transition from reactive maintenance practices to a data-driven approach.
• Build maintenance systems and establish preventative maintenance cultures.
• Implement and manage CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maintenance Connection, Fiix, MP2, eMaint).
• Establish and track maintenance performance metrics including PM Compliance, Equipment Uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and Work Order Backlog Management.
• Lead investigations into equipment failures and recurring issues using RCA and 5 Whys.
• Build, coach, and develop high-performing maintenance teams, establishing clear expectations and accountability standards.
