Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Maintenance Reliability Engineer in Hammond, IN to strengthen reliability across equipment systems. You will lead predictive maintenance initiatives, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on PdM/CBM experience, familiarity with vibration analysis and lubrication management, and a track record of cost-effective maintenance strategies that reduce failures and extend equipment

Qualifications

Hands‑on experience with Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Condition‑Based Maintenance (CBM).
Experience using and interpreting vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and oil/lubricant analysis.
Knowledge of precision maintenance practices, including laser shaft alignment, soft‑foot correction, belt/sheave alignment, bearing installation, torque practices, and precision measurement tools.
Strong lubrication excellence knowledge, including lubricant selection, contamination control, proper storage/handling, lubrication intervals, and oil sampling.
Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, asset criticality, PM optimization, and defect elimination.

Responsibilities

Determine the most effective maintenance practices for specific equipment or equipment types to minimize failures and extend equipment longevity.
Use Pareto Charts to identify and analyze equipment failures, prioritizing maintenance functions and equipment improvements.
Apply failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk analysis techniques to develop cost‑effective maintenance strategies for system components.
Monitor equipment performance and evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance strategies; upgrade preventive and predictive programs based on performance data.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
