Job summary

Zobility in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Reliability Engineer to drive continuous improvements in equipment reliability across the facility. You will lead RCA/RCFA activities and coordinate reliability initiatives with operations to reduce downtime and risk.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of a comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy.
• Identify and implement best practices related to reliability improvements across site.
• Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Apply reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve asset effectiveness.
• Monitor KPIs and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues.
• Lead RCFA and corrective actions for complex problems and participate in reliability investigations.
• Identify and implement engineered improvements for chronic or repetitive issues.
• Improve overall plant reliability through PM effectiveness tracking and PM process improvements.
• Develop critical equipment and spare parts inventories; manage stores system needs.
• Support risk management by anticipating reliability-related risks; assist capital projects with data.
• Collaborate with Engineering Team on reliability of new installations; participate in design and commissioning.

Purpose of the position:

• The Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvements to equipment reliability by providing and coordinating technical support and implementing the reliability improvement processes for the facility.
• The goal is to reduce downtime and equipment failure risk levels to the business.
• The Reliability Engineer will provide expertise and leadership for key equipment assets, thus ensuring reliability is maintained at the highest levels; and will drive for reliability of work processes, procedures, and operating practices.
• Will also define, design, develop, and monitor the site’s asset register to provide standardized processes and procedures for the proper operation and care of key production, utility, and supporting assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy for plant- based upon business needs.
• Identify and assist in the implementation of best practices related to reliability improvements across site.
• Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Apply appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve asset effectiveness (i.e., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.).
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues.
• Track production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets to find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, and facilitate implementation.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) and corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems. Participate in reliability related incident investigations, prioritize action items, and follow-up on implementation.
• Identify, develop, and implement engineered improvements and projects for chronic or repetitive issues.
• Improve overall plant reliability through PM effectiveness tracking, corrective work orders, and PM process improvements.
• Development of critical equipment list, critical instrument list, and critical spare parts inventory. This includes monitoring and optimizing the store's system considering the needs of the site.
• Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
• Support capital projects by supplying historical data, cost analysis, or other information related to reliability during scope development.
• Work with Engineering Team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
• Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
• Participate in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications.
