Job summary

H+M Industrial EPC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance team at a large chemical facility in La Porte, TX. The role centers on reliability, OEE, and data-driven troubleshooting, bridging operations, maintenance, and project teams in a PSM-regulated setting.

The position requires 5+ years in chemical/mechanical engineering, SAP PM experience, and strong communication skills. Field engagement and safety adherence are essential, with extended hours during outages as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years mechanical engineering in chemical/PSM environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis for reliability and OEE.
• Experience with predictive maintenance.
• Experience with SAP PM and CMMS.
• Familiarity with PSM programs (MOC/PHA) and RCFA.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Support mechanical integrity initiatives and day-to-day troubleshooting.
• Prepare P&IDs and drawings for upgrades.
• Support turnarounds, outages, and field engineering.
• Analyze data to project OEE improvements.
• Maintain records in SAP PM.
• Contribute to capital projects and vendor documentation reviews.
