Ben Aris LLC seeks a seasoned maintenance and reliability leader to direct planning, scheduling, and execution at our Texas facility. You will drive strategic goals, coordinate with Operations and Process Engineering, and manage contractor activities to ensure reliable operations and timely turnarounds.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Maintenance/Operations, PM, and Reliability Engineering, with 3–5 years in leadership, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • Minimum 10 years combined experience in Maintenance/Operations, PM, and Reliability Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • This role leads maintenance execution and reliability across the facility.
  • Establish strategic focus, manage goals, and allocate resources to optimize maintenance practices and operations.
  • Participate as a member of the site leadership team and align with Operations and Process Engineering.
  • Direct planning, scheduling, maintenance, and reliability activities including day-to-day execution and turnaround readiness.
  • Oversee contractor use for maintenance activities and drive department action plans for improvements.
  • Develop skills and competencies within the maintenance organization.

Job description

This position leads the maintenance execution and reliability functions at the facility.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Establishing strategic focus, driving goals and objectives, and managing resources and projects to maximize the effectiveness and consistency of our maintenance practices and overall facility operations.
  • Participating as a member of the site leadership team.
  • Working closely in alignment with Operations and Process Engineering.
  • Directing all planning, scheduling, maintenance, and reliability activities to ensure that medium-term and short-term objectives are achieved, including day-to-day execution and turnaround preparedness.
  • Managing the effective use of contractors in support of all maintenance related activities.
  • Ensuring all department Action Plans for improvements in HES, Equipment Reliability, MWP, and Mechanical Integrity are developed and implemented by leading as a role model, setting the appropriate expectations, following through on completion, and confirming results.
  • Aggressively and effectively manage the development of skills, knowledge, and competencies within the maintenance organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience base in the petrochemical or similar industry.
  • Minimum 10 years combined professional experience in Maintenance/Operations, Project Management, and Reliability Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in related leadership roles.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, strong leader, have solid interpersonal skills and be able to deal with all levels in the organization.
  • Must have a balanced strategic and tactical focus, be creative and innovative, and demonstrate outstanding problem solving, analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Must also have excellent computer skills, excellent verbal and writing skills along with computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be a self-starter and have high standards.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, negotiating, and communicating skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong computer skills, with a good understanding of the budgeting and project management processes.
  • Ability to to handle complex, abstract problems from identification to resolution.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
  • Well developed leadership skills in a professional environment; competent working in a cross-functional
  • Ability to think in overall broad terms and negotiate solutions with other related organizations.
