Job description

Maintenance Reliability Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio

Responsibilities:

1. Acquires and analyzes data.
2. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
3. Evaluates effectiveness of existing preventative maintenance plans and makes changes to these plans to increase machine reliability.
4. Provide root cause analysis for determination of failures and recommendations to eliminate or reduce future failures.
5. Coordinates and supervises the use of technicians and vendors to accomplish cost-effective reliability improvements.
6. Attends meetings and provides presentations.
7. Develop and/or update procedures as necessary to support reliability activities.
8. Coordinate with facilities engineers and maintenance personnel during the installation of new equipment or equipment upgrades to verify reliability and adherence to machine life cycle asset management process.
9. Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
10. Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers, including but not limited to operations, manufacturing engineers, facilities engineers, and maintenance personnel.
11. Individual and team involvement in equipment reliability projects such as maintenance reliability software implementation, wireless data systems, thermographic analysis, and other technologies that improve machine and equipment reliability.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

1. BS in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years experience.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
3. Experience with SAP is desired.
4. CMRP certification is a plus.
5. Strong written and communication skills.
6. Ideal candidates will also be proficient in Six Sigma Methodology, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Modeling and Prediction, and Statistical Process Analysis.
