Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repair/light maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pools, lighting, appliances, and safety systems.
  • Repair and maintain commercial laundry equipment.
  • Maintain shop, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Prepare detailed time sheets and records of maintenance activities.
  • Generate work orders and assist in property department duties.
  • Maintain safe work habits and use precautions with each tool or machine.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Position Overview:

The Resort Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks throughout the resort’s outlets and facilities. This position maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment and systems to ensure they remain safe, functional, and operating at the highest standard. The role works closely with resort departments, vendors, contractors, and business partners to address maintenance needs and support the smooth operation of the property.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for basic repair/light maintenance of: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pools, lighting, appliances, fire suppression systems, flooring, painting, furniture, and preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of commercial laundry equipment.
  • Maintains shop, vehicle, and equipment.
  • Prepares detailed time sheet and records of maintenance activities.
  • Generates written work orders, assists in any of the property department functions.
  • Maintains safe work habits and uses all precautions as recommended or required for each tool or machinery.
  • Maintain strong relationship with all other departments to make sure communication is seamless.
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • This position requires previous general repair/handyman experience and be able to use all general repair tools
  • Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
  • High level of cleanness and attention detail
  • The position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend.
  • The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Office experience required (Excel proficiency highly preferred)
  • Valid drivers' license for use of company vehicles may be required for certain roles
  • PLC schematics, electrical schematics, and multimeter experience required
