Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Maintenance Project Coordinator for our Wheatfield, IN gypsum facility. The role involves leading maintenance projects, coordinating contractor work, and providing technical support to plant teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical maintenance aptitude, project-tracking experience, and proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD. This onsite role requires flexibility for after-hours work and site-based collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience tracking progress of projects.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project.
• Experience preparing project documents and reports.
• Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing plant environment, including non-ideal conditions.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teams to develop and implement projects using the latest management tools and techniques.
• Provide integrity-based leadership for execution of maintenance projects from concept to operation.
• Complete maintenance projects using communication, time management and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
• Coordinate and oversee the use of contractors in compliance with GP Contractor Guidelines.
• Apply Georgia-Pacific’s Principle Based Management to influence and lead maintenance and project teams.
• Support value drivers by delivering maintenance goals for product quality, production, schedule and cost.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations.
• Use analytical thinking to foresee issues and report to plant leadership.
