Job summary

Nye Health Services in Fremont, Nebraska is seeking a dependable maintenance worker to perform painting, drywall repair, patching, and general upkeep across our facilities. This full-time, hands-on role emphasizes quality workmanship and pride in our spaces for residents, team members, and visitors.

The ideal candidate has prior handyman experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to tackle a variety of tasks from carpentry to basic plumbing and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Previous handyman experience in painting, drywall repair, or related trades.
• Knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting, including prep, patching, priming, and touch-ups.
• Complete drywall repairs, patching holes, taping, mudding, and sanding.
• Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinets, flooring and finishes.
• Complete general handyman and maintenance projects throughout the facility.
• Assist with basic plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets and unclogging drains.
• Assist with basic electrical maintenance, such as replacing bulbs and switches.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine facility inspections.
