Job summary

Missouri Slope Community Care in Bismarck seeks a part-time Maintenance Painter to prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and perform general repairs throughout the facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role requires 1–2 years of painting experience, basic carpentry knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and vaccination policies. Training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of professional painting, taping, and texturing experience.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry; safety practices for building trades.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance as required.
• Pass background, MVR, drug screen, and references.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, filling, sanding, patching and priming.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel to interior/exterior surfaces.
• Perform painting, touch-up, and finishing on walls, ceilings, doors, trim, furniture, and fixtures.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment and store properly.
• Perform general building repair tasks and minor furniture/fixture work.
