Otterbein SeniorLife in Cortland, NY is seeking a PRN Maintenance teammate to keep our living environments clean, safe and comfortable for residents, guests and staff.

As a PRN, you will perform routine tasks, report safety concerns, interact warmly with residents, and support the maintenance team to uphold our person-centered care values. Starting wage is $13.00 per hour, with increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry in long-term care preferred; positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, and other areas as scheduled.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping as scheduled.
• Empties trash and transports it to proper area.
• Reports safety concerns and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, and staff.
• Follows policies and procedures to ensure quality resident care.

Pay: Starting at $13.00/hr, increases with experience

Positions: PRN

Responsibilities:

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles and transports trash to proper area
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience: Previous Housekeeping and/or Laundry experience in long term care preferred; positive attitude
