Responsibilities

Basic Function: This position involves facility maintenance duties and customer interaction. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The individual must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision. Other duties may include equipment service and general housekeeping.

  1. Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per checklists and supervisor instructions to ensure cleanliness of all facility areas using appropriate tools.
  2. Conduct daily inspections of the garage to identify and address maintenance issues.
  3. Clean entrances, exits, stairwells, and surface areas, including rails, booths, offices, and restrooms.
  4. Empty trash receptacles in all designated areas.
  5. Paint and maintain the appearance of poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, etc., as directed.
  6. Replace burned-out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
  7. Submit maintenance or repair requests as needed.
  8. Check safety equipment such as gate arms and clearance bars for security.
  9. Ensure ticket spitters and gates operate properly, including supply and accuracy of time display.
  10. Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and keep a garage/lot sweep sheet.
  11. Operate cleaning and outdoor equipment, including sweepers, scrubbers, and lawn tools.
  12. Shovel, plow, or blow snow from ramps and designated areas using appropriate equipment.
  13. Report safety hazards, policy violations, or unusual occurrences promptly.
  14. Practice customer satisfaction principles and assist customers as directed.
  15. Resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor assistance.
  16. Be familiar with all operational aspects and cover other roles such as cashier or attendant as needed.
  17. Maintain a neat appearance and uniform during shifts.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with possible additional skills in maintenance, electrical, or painting depending on the role.

License Requirement: Valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record.

Availability: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.

Skills: Clear communication, customer service orientation, adaptability, sound judgment, professionalism, and ability to read/write in English.

Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting over 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and working in extreme weather conditions. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $21.00 per hour
