Job summary

Edsential Community Interest Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Plumber to join the facilities team at The Conway Outdoor Education Centre. You will perform reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across buildings, diagnose faults, and maintain water systems while upholding health and safety standards.

You’ll develop PPM schedules, support water hygiene, and keep accurate records using digital systems. Experience in commercial or public buildings is desirable.

Qualifications

• Recognised plumbing qualification at Level 2 or above with practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults independently.
• Knowledge of safe isolation and health & safety for plumbing and water systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Organised and adaptable; able to prioritise reactive issues with planned work.
• Familiar with digital systems for job updates and record-keeping.
• Experience in commercial or public buildings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned preventative plumbing maintenance across buildings and water systems.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and perform repairs to minimise disruption.
• Maintain and repair sanitary fixtures and fittings (taps, toilets, showers, pipework).
• Develop and deliver plumbing and water-system PPM schedules with materials and tools.
• Support water hygiene and Legionella control arrangements where trained.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and store tools safely.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance systems and practices.
