Job summary

KSM is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner to support safe, reliable plant operations by planning, prioritizing, and scheduling preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work. You will convert maintenance needs into executable work plans and coordinate labor, parts, tools, and documentation to reduce unplanned downtime.

In collaboration with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Stockroom, Safety and other departments, you will maintain CMMS records, lead scheduling

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, or recognized certification in industrial maintenance, engineering technology, reliability, or a related field.
• Five or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including planning and scheduling responsibilities.
• Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing and with TPM, lean manufacturing, predictive maintenance, or reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience tracking maintenance KPIs and using data to improve PM effectiveness, backlog health, equipment uptime, and schedule compliance.
• CMRP, MMP, CRL, or comparable maintenance/reliability credential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain weekly, daily, and long-range maintenance schedules based on equipment needs, safety risk, and production requirements.
• Plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance with clear scope, labor hours, required skills, parts, tools, and downtime.
• Review work requests for completeness, urgency, and priority; clarify scope and route for approval and scheduling.
• Maintain the preventive maintenance program and coordinate PM frequencies using equipment history and input from Maintenance and Engineering.
• Create, update, close, and audit CMMS work orders; maintain asset, bill-of-material, failure-code, labor, parts, and completion data.
• Lead or facilitate maintenance scheduling meetings and communicate schedule, release requirements, and status to affected departments.
• Monitor schedule compliance, planned-versus-unplanned work, PM completion, backlog, downtime, and KPI trends; prepare reports and corrective actions.
