Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling and coordination of all maintenance work across facility areas. You will ensure work orders are clear, realistic and safely planned, while coordinating with Purchasing and Maintenance leadership to meet deadlines.

You will supervise the estimation of labor hours, materials and costs, and maintain records to support reporting and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Engineering degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of maintenance management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work with changing deadlines.
• Strong customer service in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and screen all work order requests to ensure their work scope is clearly described.
• Check orders to ensure the priority is realistic and provide lead time, cost and coding.
• Create work orders for approved requests and refer to Maintenance Manager for approval.
• Obtain blueprints, drawings and manuals as needed to clarify work orders.
• Examine unplanned work orders and determine best approach with Manager approval.
• Identify and obtain materials required to complete work orders.
• Ensure safety needs are top priority in work planning.
• Estimate cost for each work order including labor and materials.
• Assign delay codes to backlogged/unplanned work orders as necessary.
• Identify tools/equipment needed and sequence of steps for each order.
