Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in Arabi, LA. The role focuses on planning and scheduling all maintenance work to maximize productivity and reduce delays.

You will liaise between operations and maintenance to ensure timely, quality service and efficient use of resources. The position requires a 3+ year maintenance background in manufacturing, familiarity with SAP PM, and a strong mechanical/electrical foundation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility or equivalent military experience.
• Experience operating SAP Plant Maintenance system preferred.
• Mechanical/Electrical background necessary.
• Planning/Scheduling experience within a manufacturing facility.
• Have adequate trade knowledge to estimate labor hours, materials, and visualize the job to be performed.

Responsibilities

• Plan future maintenance work to reduce potential delays and maximize maintenance workforce efficiency.
• Receives all work orders from requesting departments and screens them for necessity.
• Develop work plans indicating scope and required resources.
• Estimate jobs with steps, trades, and labor hours for each step.
• Identify and obtain materials and enter needs on the work order.
• Maintain backlog files and prioritize scheduling.
• Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly maintenance scheduling.
• Develop standard work order plans for recurring repairs.
• Plan, schedule, and execute planned preventive maintenance.
• Order parts according to lead times and procure outside services as needed.
• Update SAP Plant Maintenance systems.
• Monitor and improve preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
