Job summary

PPG is seeking a Maintenance Planner Scheduler at the Circleville, OH Plant. You will plan Mechanical Integrity work, coordinate with Reliability Engineering, and schedule PMs and projects.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and create weekly, monthly, and yearly plans to ensure 100% scheduling of all PMs. Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, developing job scope, coordinating contractors, planning parts, and maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required; associate’s degree with equivalent technical experience and 6–10 years scheduling experience, OR BS with 3–6 years planning for maintenance.
• Background in Maintenance is required.
• Ability to read and understand diagrams, P&ID drawings and basic schematics.
• Proficient with CMMS systems is desired.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes or bids for planned jobs and projects per Purchasing Guidelines.
• Develop job scope for work that is planned or projects.
• Create schedule for upcoming jobs.
• Coordinate contractors and maintenance staff for planned/projects.
• Communicate with Maintenance/Contractor Supervisor on planned/project work.
• Plan and communicate parts and supplies for planned/project work.
• Attend Mechanical Integrity (MI) meetings.
• Schedule outage meetings for plant outages.
• Complete all Work Orders timely within the CMMS.
• Maintain accurate job plans and details within the CMMS.
• Track outages for planned/project work in CMMS and complete when done.
• Enter Purchase Orders for required parts and critical spares.
• Complete all duties assigned by Manager.
