Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in Melrose Park, IL to coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. You will administer the Fiix CMMS, manage work orders, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sanitation to improve reliability and uptime.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in maintenance planning, CMMS experience, and knowledge of PM metrics. This onsite role requires strong communication and familiarity with GMP/SQF standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sanitation.
• Administer Fiix CMMS and maintain equipment assets, work-order histories, costs, PM schedules, and reports.
• Review work requests and identify labor, materials, parts, tools, procedures, and time needed.
• Monitor open work orders and manage the maintenance backlog.
• Track PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and backlog.
• Support spare-parts inventory and ensure materials are available before work begins.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce costs.
• Support continuous-improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet safety, GMP, SQF, and food-safety requirements.
• Communicate maintenance priorities and equipment status across Maintenance and Operations.

Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Work Arrangement: Onsite

A growing food manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. This position will help improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, manage the maintenance backlog, and ensure technicians have the information and parts needed to complete scheduled work.

You will also serve as the primary administrator and power user of the company’s Fiix computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sanitation.
• Administer Fiix CMMS and maintain equipment assets, work-order histories, costs, PM schedules, and reports.

• Track and report PM compliance, mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), downtime, and backlog.

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, increase uptime, and reduce maintenance costs.
• Support continuous-improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities and documentation meet safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food-safety requirements.
• Communicate maintenance priorities and equipment status across Maintenance and Operations.

Qualifications

• One to three years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Experience using a CMMS to manage work orders, equipment records, PM schedules, maintenance history, costs, and reporting.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities around production requirements.
• Understanding of PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and backlog metrics.
• Experience supporting maintenance inventory and spare-parts management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Melrose Park, Illinois.
