Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in the United States offers skilled maintenance planning and scheduling roles within a factory setting. This position emphasizes evaluating work requests, planning, coordinating with Production, and ensuring 100% utilization of technician hours while leveraging CMMS for reliability and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong technical aptitude, and proven communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required with 1–3 years in maintenance scheduling/planning or 5–10 years as a machine repair technician
• Familiar with an industrial manufacturing environment
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluates non-emergency work requests, defines scope of work, and inspects job location to determine requirements
• Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment and tools for proactive jobs
• Gathers and verifies drawings, schematics, specs, spare parts lists; ensures parts availability before scheduling
• Maintains an organized backlog and prioritizes next highest priority jobs
• Uses continuous improvement to update Job Plans for accuracy and effectiveness
• Leads weekly planning meetings with Production to set priorities and adjust plans
• Creates a Weekly Technician Schedule maximizing 100% of available hours
• Improves planning/scheduling using the review process and metrics
• Maintains records for analysis and reporting of maintenance activities
• Trains site employees on CMMS and ensures proper usage
