Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize and schedule mechanical and electrical work across the site. The role focuses on coordinating work orders, staffing, parts availability, and maintenance strategies to improve operations.

You will report to the Maintenance Department Manager and help manage costs, downtime, and documentation. The position requires base knowledge of maintenance, SAP experience, and strong planning skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP or other electronic maintenance systems.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance work.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and fast paced change.
• Ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
• Able to identify parts and read mechanical drawings.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills.
• Strong demonstrated computer skills (MS Office, Internet, Email) with a willingness to use tablets, SAP experience a plus.
• Able to accurately utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, rulers, measuring tape, and micrometers.
• Able to quickly learn PM and other Maintenance activities.
• Demonstrated ability to follow purchasing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance for the entire site, including preventative, planned, emergency, and outage activities.
• Coordinate with operations on priority setting.
• Coordinate with other site maintenance planners and corporate resources on equipment and system improvements.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Clerk to ensure correct parts are ordered and available.
• Track and reduce maintenance cost.
• Maintain SAP and other maintenance documentation (time-based plans, BOMs, work instructions, logs).
• Develop critical path schedules for planned downtime events.
• Identify gaps in maintenance skills and staffing and address them.
• Assist with training and documentation for the maintenance team.
• Read work orders and determine machines requiring repair; inspect parts and advise on repairs.
